    Part I: Relax and Soften - Thermal Hot Springs at La Fortuna: Jan. 9-13

    After arriving in Liberia, overnight at the Hampton Inn by Hilton. The morning of Jan. 10 we'll take a group shuttle for 2.5 to 3 hours to La Fortuna, which will be our base for three nights. Come and let your body unwind in warm mineral waters. Let the heat melt tension, soften stiffness, and gently prepare your body for the days ahead.

    Arrive. Exhale. Let everything you’ve been carrying dissolve.

    Explore the breathtaking landscapes of Costa Rica on guided hikes that take you through lush rainforests and alongside tranquil rivers.     Overnight in San José: Jan. 13

    After three nights immersed in the lush beauty of La Fortuna, we’ll travel approximately 3.5 to 4 hours by group shuttle to San José for a comfortable transition evening at the charming Awa Hotel., a lovingly restored historic mansion tucked into one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods -- Barrio Escalante. Tree-lined streets, cozy cafés, and some of San José’s best restaurants are all just steps away, Every room at Awa is different, and if this retreat sells out, we'll have the mansion to ourselves. This gentle pause between destinations gives us time to enjoy a vibrant evening before continuing on to the next stage of our journey.

    Part II: Flow - Rainforest River & Trails on the Pacuare: Jan. 14-17

    A shuttle bus picks us in in the morning to continue our journey toward the lush Turrialba region. The landscape begins to shift into rolling green hills, misty mountains and fertile volcanic farmland. Coffee plants blanket the hillsides, tropical flowers spill over roadside gardens and small villages offer a glimpse into a quieter rhythm of Costa Rican life. Three hours later, we arrive at the banks of the warm Pacuare River. Whether your river raft or hike into the all-inclusive Rios Lodge, the river becomes part of our retreat experience for the next three days.. Lush surroundings and steady movement awaken your senses and bring a quiet aliveness back to the body..

    Overnight in San José: Jan. 17

    After emerging from the wild beauty of the Pacuare River, we’ll begin the three-hour scenic drive back toward San José. The adrenaline of the river slowly gives way to a quieter rhythm as we travel through the rich green landscapes of Costa Rica’s Caribbean foothills. Small roadside villages, rolling farmland and cloud-covered peaks accompany us on the journey, offering time to reflect, rest and take in the incredible experiences of the past days before returning to the city. We'll overnight at the Hilton Cariari Doubletree near the San José airport for our flight in the morning.

    Rest, reset and prepare for the next chapter of the journey.

    Part III: Expand - Pacific Ocean at Playa Potrero: Jan. 18-21

    The flight from San José to Liberia on SANSA Airlines is a short, scenic hop—about 45 minutes in the air on a small 15-seat aircraft that flies low over the country’s dramatic landscape. As we lift out of the Central Valley, the views open into mountains and volcanoes, then stretch outward toward the sunlit plains. It’s a simple, intimate flight that turns our travel time into part of the experience. We’ll continue by shuttle to Playa Potrero on Guanacaste's sun-drenched Pacific shoreline, a scenic drive of about 1 to 1.5 hours. The journey is easy, social and spacious — marking the moment the trip opens fully into ocean time. End at the edge of the Pacific. Swim, snorkel, stroll the shoreline, shop, or simply sit by the ocean as these three days open into spacious, sunlit ease. We we return by group shuttle to Liberia on Jan. 21.
